A VIRTUAL EVENT RECOMMENDED BY THE OFFICE FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIAN UNITY AND RELIGIOUS RELATIONS WITH JUDAISM

The Institute for Islamic, Christian and Jewish Studies (ICJS) advances interreligious dialogue and understanding to build bridges between people and communities. They provide occasional lectures and discussions to build religious literacy among the public.

ICJS has invited, Dr. Susannah Heschel (daughter of the late Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel), an award-winning author, leading thinker and theologian, as the keynote speaker. She will offer a Jewish perspective on the relationship between religion and political movements, and on the question of who should represent religious communities. The lecture honours the interreligious friendship of two long-time civic leaders, Bernard Manekin and A. James Clark.
