Altar Servers

Altar serving is a ministry for those who have completed their First Communion and older. Generally this means youth Grades 3 and up. Altar serving is an important ministry as it assists the priest in the celebration of the Holy Mass. If the Mass is a foretaste here on Earth of the heavenly banquet then altar servers are like the angels and saints praising and serving God. This is an exciting ministry! Nobody else at Mass gets to do what altar servers do during Mass. This is why it is important to be early and prepared for serving. 

Please also consider taking a few minutes before and after Mass to thank God for the opportunity to serve and offer up your serving as a prayer for the community and others in your life.
